I finally collected 75 non-combat pets on Amedeah and as a reward I got my “Little Fawn’s Salt Lick.” She’s so cute! I had to spent 1400g to buy my last 3 pets to complete the achievement, but it was worth it =)

Makes: 8-10 Servings
Prep: 25 minutes
Bake: 1 hour
Ingredients
- Pastry for a Single-Crust Pie
- 2 cups sugar
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tablespoon cornmeal
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 4 eggs, lightly beaten
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- Whipped cream (optional)
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Prepare Pastry for a Single-Crust Pie; set aside.
2. For filling, in a large bowl, combine sugar, cocoa powder, cornmeal, flour, and salt. In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, butter, and vanilla. Stir egg mixture into sugar mixture until smooth. Stir in pecans.
3. Pour filling into pastry-lined pie plate. Bake about 1 hour or until filling is set and crust is golden. If crust begins to brown too fast, reduce oven temperature to 325 degrees F and cover edge of crust with foil. Cool pie on a wire rack. (Filling will fall slightly during cooling.) Chill within 2 hours. If desired, serve with whipped cream.
4. Pastry for Single-Crust Pie: In a medium bowl, stir together 1-1/4 cups all-purpose flour and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Using a pastry blender, cut in 1/3 cup shortening until pieces are pea-size. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon cold water over part of the mixture; gently toss with a fork. Push moistened dough to the side of the bowl. Sprinkle additional cold water, 1 tablespoon at a time, over mixture until all of the dough is moistened (use 3 to 4 tablespoons cold water total). Form the dough into a ball. On a lightly floured surface, flatten dough. Roll dough from center to edges into a 12-inch circle. To transfer pastry, wrap it around the rolling pin. Unroll pastry into a 9-inch pie plate. Ease pastry into pie plate, being careful not to stretch pastry. Trim pastry to 1/2 inch beyond edge of pie plate. Fold under extra pastry. Crimp edge as desired.
Make-Ahead Tip: Cover and chill cooled pie for up to 24 hours.

Makes: 16 servings
Prep: 50 minutes
Chill: 4 hours
Bake: 1 hour and 25 minutes
Cool: 2 hours
Stand: 2 hours
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1-1/4 cups plus 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 4 8-oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
- 1-1/4 cups plus 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 Tbsp. plus 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 16-ounce carton dairy sour cream
- 1 tsp. finely shredded lemon peel
- 1-1/2 cups pomegranate seeds
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In a mixing bowl beat butter on medium to high speed for 30 seconds. Add brown sugar. Beat until combined. Add 1 egg; beat well. Beat in 1-1/4 cups flour until combined. Divide dough in half. Cover and refrigerate one portion.
2. Spread unrefrigerated dough half on bottom of ungreased 10-inch spring form pan with sides removed, spreading dough to edges. Place on baking sheet. Bake for 10 minutes. Cool completely. When cool, attach sides of pan. Press chilled dough onto sides to a height of 1-3/4 inches, using a thin metal spatula to spread dough.
3. Reduce oven temperature to 325 degrees F. For filling, in an extra-large mixing bowl beat cream cheese and 1-1/4 cups granulated sugar until fluffy. Beat in the remaining flour on low speed until smooth. Add remaining 3 eggs and 1 tablespoon vanilla all at once, beating on low speed just until combined. Stir in 1/2 cup sour cream, the lemon peel, and 3/4 cup of the pomegranate seeds.
4. Pour filling into crust-lined pan. Place on baking sheet. Bake for 65 minutes or until edges are puffed and center jiggles slightly when gently shaken. Remove from oven.
5. Stir together remaining sour cream, sugar, and vanilla. Spread sour cream mixture over top of baked cheesecake. Return to oven; bake for 10 minutes more. Remove from oven. Cool on wire rack for 15 minutes. Loosen crust from sides of pan. Cool for 30 minutes more. Remove sides of pan; cool completely. Cover; chill 4 hours or overnight.
6. Remove cheesecake and Pomegranate Sauce from refrigerator 15 minutes before serving. Spoon some sauce over top of cheesecake; pile remaining 3/4 cup pomegranate seeds in center of cheesecake. To serve, slice cheesecake. Pass remaining sauce.
7. For sauce, in a medium saucepan bring 1-16-ounce bottle pomegranate juice to boiling; reduce heat and boil gently, uncovered, until reduced to 1 cup (10 to 12 minutes). Stir together 1/4 cup brown sugar and 1 tablespoon cornstarch. Add to juice. Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly. Cook and stir 2 minutes more. Transfer to a medium bowl; cover surface with clear plastic wrap. Cool to room temperature. Store, covered, in refrigerator until serving time.
Kitchen Tip: Spoon sour cream mixture on the puffed edges, then carefully spread toward the center.

I got up around 11 yesterday and decided to go shopping. First, I went and got my eyebrows waxed (they look PERFECT). Then I proceeded to six different stores to find the perfect outfit… no luck. BUT! I did find a cute lil’ dress that was on clearance down from $60 for only $18!! I also went ahead and picked up Rob’s Valentine’s Day present, which I gave to him last night :p
So my plans for the Irish pub and karaoke with one of my friends were cancelled last night. But that made it possible to hang out with another friend of mine =) We had Thai food, ice cream and finally decided to go on an adventure to Ocoee for karaoke (since that’s where Korndogg was). I’ll be honest, dear readers, I had more fun than I thought I would. I especially liked the part where I tried to teach him “Heart and Soul” on the piano. He almost had it! Can’t wait to hang out with him again =) We’re definitely going to have to make this a regular thing!
On the agenda tonight… MORE KARAOKE! *cheers* Gonna be at Gator’s Dockside in Winter Spring. I think tonight Spencer and I might try “Cruisin’” together again and see how it goes, I hope so! It’s such a great song! I don’t think I’m ready for “Easy Lover” yet, though. I’ve listened to it like 20 times and I still mess up when I try to sing it :p Oh well, maybe one day.
Well cheers for now

So I woke up this morning and my internet was out *GASP* Oh my Gods! Completely devastated not being able to log into WoW for my Love Is In the Air dailies, I opted to watch a few movies instead. I ended up watching “Love Happens,” “My Sister’s Keeper,” and “Revolutionary Road.” I cried like mad at the last two >.< I’m such a girl sometimes. Forgot how nice it felt being a total lazy ass and laying in bed all day watching crap on the tv haha. I also played Cooking Mama 2 on the DS, love that game.
Rob got home around 5:30 and we headed out for dinner at The Mellow Mushroom (a local pizza place) and I got my regular BLT with extra T. ‘Twas yummers. We stayed for two rounds of trivia, which was half boring half fun *shrug* We made our way home stopping for IceDreams from Chick-Fil-A (yum). Then, Rob suggested that we try using my BlackBerry as a dial up modem so I could have internet on my laptop. So I hooked it up and VOILA! I have internet back *jumps for joy* Just sucks that WoW is having issues with connection so of course I can’t log in, dammit. Oh well, maybe I will snuggle with the hubs and watch another movie.
I think Rob and I are headed to Smokey Bones tomorrow night because our friend Spencer is doing a trivia night there and that should be a blast. Karaoke on Friday’s with him is awesome, so this should be, too!
I’ve got plans for Thursday that I am super excited about! I am seeing a friend that I haven’t seen in a very long time. The plans are dinner at an Irish pub and karaoke. And if you know me, you know my love of any Irish pub I can get my hands on and I’m all over karaoke like white on rice. Can’t wait *squeeee*!
Alright, I’m out for tonight. Cheers =)

So today started a new holiday in Azeroth (World of Warcraft) called “Love Is In The Air.” It’s WoW’s Valentine’s Day that lasts for two weeks. There is a meta achievement called “The Love Fool” that I will be trying to get within those two weeks. It’s a pain in the ass but I’m determined! The original article can be found here from WoWVault. I am only posting the Horde walkthrough seeing as how Alliance sucks
 |
- Start in Thunder Bluff.
- Get Uncommon Scents and A Gift For the High Chieftan. Note that picking up the Gift quest will automatically give you a Love Charm Collector’s Kit. Make sure you save it for later. Also note that the Gift quests are daily quests to give you more tokens.
- One of the goblins offers one of three possible random daily quests. You can work on these as you do other quests. These quests appear in any faction major city and may be turned in to any goblin in any of the same cities.
- A Cloudlet of Classy Cologne – Use your cologne gun on any player or NPC that doesn’t already have a heart over their head.
- A Perfect Puff of Perfume – Use your perfume gun on any player or NPC that doesn’t already have a heart over their head.
- Bonbon Blizt – Use the Chocolate Sample on any player or NPC that doesn’t have a heart over their head.
- While doing quests and traveling around be sure to use the Dungeon Finder for Halls of Stone, Utgarde Keep and Ahn’kahet. Ebon Bouquets of Roses drop from Maiden in HoS, Prince in UK, and Prince in OK. ***My Love Is Like A Red Red, Rose Complete!***
- Travel to Orgrimmar. Turn in Uncommon Scents and get Something Stinks.
- Get A Gift For The Warchief.
- Use the Air Analyzer on heavily perfumed guards that you will find throughout the city. They have a purple glow on them. Turn in when complete.
- Get Pilfering Perfume and head outside the gates of Orgrimmar. Follow the Orgrimmar wall east. When you find the stockpile of Chemical Co goods DONT STOP. Just run by them and run away. They’ll toss you a parcel. If you stop, they’ll see through your disguise. Turn in when complete.
- Get Snivel’s Sweetheart and go to Gotri’s Traveling Gear in The Drag and turn in.
- Get Hot On the Trail. Go to the Orgrimmar bank and wait for the event to finish. Then go to the Auction House and wait for the event to finish. Finally go to the Barber Shop and wait for the event to finish. Then return to Gotri’s and turn in.
- Get A Friendly Chat… Go to Eastern Zepplin tower outside the gates of Orgrimmar where you’ll find the goblin. Speak to him then go back to Orgrimmar and turn in.
- Get Man on the Inside and Crushing the Crown. This quest has several different versions depending on your level. Only the level 80 version is covered in this guide.
- Travel to Crystalsong Forest in Northrend. Throw your bombs at the Chemical wagons and kill enough of the surrounding mobs to complete your quest.
- Now is the time to farm some mobs in Northrend. Your Love Charm Collector’s Kit that your got earlier will allow you to collect Love Tokens from any mobs or players that yield expierence or honor to you. You must get the killing blow to get a charm. You don’t get a charm every time you kill something. 10 Charms can be used to make a bracelet. You will need 12 bracelets for your achievement but if you don’t want to farm that long then just get 4 for now.
- When you have four bracelets, go to Dalaran and take the portal to the Thunder Bluff.
- Visit Cairne Bloodhoof and turn in.
- Travel to Orgrimmar. Turn in Crushing the Crown ***Dangerous Love Complete!***
- Visit Thrall and turn in.
- Travel to the Undercity. In the Lorderan throne room above ground, get A Gift For The Banshee Queen.
- Visit Sylvannas and turn in.
- In the Bazaar, get A Gift For The Regent Lord of Quel’Thalas.
- Go visit the Regent Lord and turn in. ***Nation of Adoration Complete!***
- Return to the Undercity. Visit the Love Token vendor in the Lorderan throne room above ground. Purchase a Handful of Rose Petals and a bottle of perfume or cologne. Also visit your nearest booze vendor and purchase enough alchohol to get smashed.
- Find Jeremiah Payson the Cockroach Vendor in the center of Undercity. Get completely smashed by binge drinking (in game ya noobs!), apply some perfume/cologne, throw a handful of rose petals at Jeremiah then /kiss him. ***Flirt With Disaster Complete!***
- Travel to Shadowfang Keep in Silverpine Forest. Find a group and turn in Man on the Inside to the goblin at the Courtyard door.
- Get You’ve Been Served. Open the Serving Kit then go turn in to Crown Co. Apothecary in the courtyard. Doing so will activate them so be careful not to turn in at the same time as another person in your group. They will respawn so you can turn in and kill them again. ***Tough Love Complete!***
- Tactics
- Frye needs to be tanked by the actual tank of the group. He throws perfume or cologne vials so the rest of the people in the group should pick a vial then just stay put in the cloud that they are immune to since the boss throws the perfume/cologne pretty often. Avoid clouds you’re not immune to. You need two player capable of holding threat. It doesn’t mean you need two tanks, just two people who can hang onto a mob. The person tanking Baxter should use the cologne nuetralizer and the person tanking Hummel should use the perfume nuetralizer. This will make them nearly immune to the damage those mobs do.
- Adds will spawn who like to explode and will deal some damage but for the most part they can be ignored.
- Now all you need to do is continue doing daily quests for enough tokens to buy enough items to finish your achievements as outlined in the next steps.
- If you haven’t yet, finish making your bracelets for your achievement. If you want, you can turn them in for 1 Love Token each. ***Charming Complete!***
- Purchase a Bag of Candies from the vendor. Use the bag to create heart candies with different sayings on them. You need to eat one with every different saying on it. The candies are not BoP so you can give or trade your extras for the ones you do need. ***Be Mine! Complete!***
- Either purchase a picnic basket or find someone with one in Dalaran. Sit down with them by using the basket. Eat a Buttermilk Delight, Sweet Surprise, Dark Desire and Very Berry Cream. All of these have a chance to drop inside a Box of Chocolates. ***Sweet Tooth & Lonely? Complete!***
- Purchase 10 Silver Shafted Arrows and shoot players with it. It does not work on NPCs. ***Shafted! Complete!***
- Purchase 10 Love Rockets. Hotkey them and fire them off as fast as you can. ***The Rocket’s Pink Glare Complete!***
- Purchase 10 Handful of Rose Petals. Use the rose petals on a Gnome Warlock, Human Death Knight, Night Elf Priest, Draenei Paladin, Dwarf Hunter, Orc Shaman, Tauren Druid, Troll Rogue, Undead Warrior and Blood Elf Mage. I recommend hanging out above the Violet Gate in Dalaran where people portal into the city. I would also recommend Wintergrasp or any Battleground if you’re having trouble finding the class/race combos you need. Red Bouquets of Roses and Ebon Bouquets of Roses will not work for this achievement. ***Fistful of Love Complete!***
- Purchase 5 Love Fools. Travel to Wintergrasp, Gurubashi Arena, The Culling of Stratholme, Arathi Basin Blacksmith and Naxxramas. When you arrive at each location, use your Love Fool then target him and /pity him. ***I Pitied The Fool Complete!***
Grats! You’re now a Love Fool!

I’ve killed 600 Deviate raptors in the Wailing Caverns and still no Deviate Hatchling =( I’ve ready multiple posts with people saying that they got the pet to drop in just a handful of clears but I apparently don’t have that kind of luck. *sigh* I plan to do another 10 clears tomorrow since I did 10 yesterday and 10 today. Right now the hatchlings are on the Ghostlands AH for 1100g each. I’m just not willing to pay that much for this pet. So, I’m not giving up on farming quite yet.
On a side note, I have blown through season 5 of Lost in just a few days. I am currently watching “The Incident Part I” and plan to watch the second part tonight as well. I haven’t decided if I’m going to watch the first-second episode of season 6 yet. I don’t know if I want to stay up that late haha. Quite honestly, it’s been a little hard for my brain to keep up with all the twists and turns but I think I know what’s going on… notice I said “I think” haha.
Signing off for now to finish up this season. I’ll be back tomorrow =) Cheers!
